Customers Reviews 2010-07-27 Got 2 and very happy I got two of this one used on a 2008 camry and the other one on a 2001 civic. They look really nice and work just as advertised verry happy with this elago chargers. | 2010-07-26 Looks good and does the job This little USB outlet is great for charging cell phones, MP3 players and other devices in your car. It fits up to the point where the black plastic gets wider, it does not sit flush inside the outlet (which is what I thought it might do, based on the reviews).
It works in a 2000-2003 Nissan Maxima, but since the console is somewhat concave around the outlet, it does not sit flat. The right part juts out a little further than the left, but it's not terribly noticeable. It makes good contact in the Maxima (unlike other cars mentioned in these reviews), and the fit inside the outlet is very snug. A green power LED is on all the time, but it's not annoyingly bright.
I've had this for only a couple days, so I'll update if I encounter any problems. | 2010-07-22 Too short! I tried this in 6 different vehicles. None of them I could actually get it to turn on. I ended up cutting the end off of it and splicing it to another cigarette lighter connector that was longer. it looks awful now but I guess it works at least. | 2010-07-14 blew a fuse this arrived in the mail yesterday. i used it in my friend's car and it blew a fuse, the whole stereo system is now busted.
also, the base of it is cracked and peeling.
i've only had this for a day.
i'm definitely getting my money's worth
CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.
so cheap that i can't even return it. there's no point. | 2010-07-13 Poor Quality - Pull handle broke Cool design but poor quality. The silver band in the photo is a pull handle that flips out for you to extract the charger from the power socket. The first time I removed it (which unfortunately is beyond the 30 day return policy), the handle broke right through the plastic face that has the elago logo on the front. Completely cracked right through. Thin cheap plastic. Im fired up. Should have bought another brand. |
