Customers Reviews 2010-07-28 Durable and Good Looking PROS:
Easy to take on and off (might be more difficult the first few times).
Very protective. It protects from impacts not just scratches, but adds a little bulk.
Sturdy rubber button covers (although they can be a little hard to press).
Rubber inside doesn't scratch the back of the device.
Plastic and rubber stick together very well.
CONS:
The thin piece on the bottom broke off after a few months, but it hasn't been a problem.
The rubber on the sides is starting to wear and peel in one small spot.
Doesn't have a dock adapter so you either need to go without one or take the case off.
Overall, I really like this case, especially for the price. It still looks good after 4 months of use and I think it still has a few more months of life left in it. | 2010-07-27 Speck 2G/3G iPod Touch Case I bought this case in March 2010 from Amazon. Overall I think that the case is one of the better on the market. Unfortunately after 4 months of use, the crossbar section at the bottom near the docking port snapped. I had hoped that this case would last longer. I am switching to the OtterBox Defender Series for the iPod Touch 2G/3G. | 2010-07-10 Excellent case! This is an excellent case to protect your Ipod touch in. I have had it for over three months and I am very pleased in the protection it offers. The idea of the soft inside and hard outside is brilliant and the lip around screen will stop your screen from scratching any surface when flipped over. The back does scratch relatively easy but I prefer the case take the scratching over the iPod. Also the plastic part under the home button broke off after 2 months but the case is still completely usable. Sadly the case must be removed to dock the iPod. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this purchase at that price. | 2010-06-25 WILL BREAK When I used it people frequently complimented what a great looking case it was. I agreed, but it's hindered by a poor design flaw. At the bottom there's a stringy section that doesn't hold up long AT ALL. I understand it is difficult to work around this issue given the iPod's design, but another case I've had for longer (DLO's Softshell) is still holding up at this section.
This case would've definitely been a must have if it weren't for this. Shock absorption is great, it's comfortable and the buttons are nice. It also looks good, until it breaks. | 2010-06-06 Speck had a great idea... This case is very durable in all places except one: the thin part on the bottom. I had my case for 4 months until the bottom finally snapped in half from being tossed around in my purse so often. Other than that, I never touched it for fear of breakage. I still have the case on, but it looks ugly with the break on the small strip on the bottom, and I'm considering buying another case that won't have that problem. But it really is a good idea speck had to have a hard outer shell and a silicone-like inner shell. And I liked that it came with a screen protector. Hopefully they'll fix this issue with the lower strip for the next generation ipod. |
