Customers Reviews 2010-07-27 Garbage. Have had the product for 3 months now and I use it several times a week but not daily. After 3 months, with no explanation, the product ceased to work entirely. I see I am essentially echoing all the other negative reliability reviews and really have nothing more to add other than: "it happened to me too". I still can't decide if I'm more mad at Belkin for such a horribly built product or at Apple for creating an iPod Shuffle with no built-in interface. | 2010-07-25 Bought this for my Droid....Droid Does, Belkin Didn't. I bought this so I would be able to control the music player on my Droid (original, Motorola, OS Ver 2.1) without having to take it out of my pocket, unlock it, change the song, lock it, and put it back in my pocket. Sadly, all it did was pause, and unpause the song that was currently playing. I tried it with the stock music player and Meridian Media Player Pioneer(0.20.1). Same behavior with both.
I am aware that the description says "for iPod Shuffle", and I knew it was a long shot, but I had to try.
some people have had luck soldering a remote into earbuds they already own, but I'm not that handy.
If anyone has found a solution to this, please reply to this review
[Suggestions to buy an iPhone will be ignored] | 2010-07-15 Got two , and went both bad, with different problems. JUST DONT BUY IT. I would go crazy for those who rate five stars. Definitely not well made. Went broke on me twice. First one broke on me, then I thought I press the buttons too hard (because buttons wouldn't work). Second one, even though I didn't use this extensively, wouldn't give me sound after use of a month, maybe 20 times of use.
Now I know the problem is not because of me. I have Bang & Olufsen headset, and it is quite known for breaking easily, but I've used the product without a problem although I've used it extensively, almost everyday. Just letting people know that I am a gentle, careful user of electric products.
Hope this helps. | 2010-07-06 Belkin headphone adaptor for ipod shuffle This adaptor was great for the first 2 weeks, now I can't skip back, forwards, stop or start. Waste of money. Apple need to bring out a different style of headphones for runners which don't come out every two seconds. | 2010-07-03 Good idea, cheap construction From the day 1, the "+" button for volume increase was hard to press. But I tried to use it hoping it will become easier. But within a month of use, the cable started ripping at the head of the plug.
This must be made with cheap labor and cheap material, or the design is completely flawed.
