Static, terrible, didn't work
I bought this at a retail store, but it was so terrible I had to comment here. I tried it in my car and within 10 minutes was taking it back to the store.
Even on the clearest FM station, the transmission quality was terrible. Way too much static, the controls seemed hard to use. Definitely not worth $20 yet alone $80. It's not a companion I would want with me on a trip of any length.

MONSTER FAIL!
this transmitter is the biggest piece of crap you can buy! first off, the name MONSTER adds a hefty fee right off the bat. second, the transmitter is weak. even following the tips in the very, very, very small booklet like placing the transmitter closer to the antenna don't help. i actually found out that this P.O.S. works better when you wrap it around your steering column! save your time and money with this. look up the gigaware transmitter. i got mine at radio shack for $15 and it works great! i'm sure you can find it cheaper online. make sure you have a car charger with a usb port and if you don't, get one! STAY AWAY FROM THIS MONSTER PIECE OF S**T!!!!!

Nothing but static!!!
I had an older model Monster icarplay that gave me no problems for the 3 years I had it. Figuring that the new model would be the same, I bought it. All it did was put out static. Not a good product at all. Ended up buying this same one I owned before which gives me no problems.

Poor radio reception
The product is hyped to have a strong FM signal but after repeated attempts, the sound quality is very poor. A lot of static on all channels.

Do not buy!
This device is terrible-poor transmission, lots of static, scan function does not work well-it just picks the same three stations over and over. I had a different one before from Monster and it was great, this model is horrible for some reason. Do not buy!!!
