Customers Reviews 2010-07-28 gg flex pod I really like everything about this product except its durability. When it is new, it works so well. It holds my phone, plugs it in to power, plays it through the radio. However, I have had 2 of these now and both of them broke after a couple of months. The second one has 2 faults. the cable that plugs into the phone broke. Also, the cigarette lighter plug has fallen apart 3 times now. I was able to put that back together and make it work again. The plug on the phone has a short in the wire. I don't think I can repair that. | 2010-07-23 poor sound quality I got a brand new car with a very fancy music system and also a new Iphone, so thought this will be a good time to get something like this, as displayed on video
I returned the first one they send me as it was not working and got a replacement, unfortunately second one also partially worked, things that did not work:
1. recieving calls, other party can not hear us no matter what you try, you can hear them OK
2. Sound quality is extremely poor, i tried all suggestions that were sent to me on mail when i contacted seller, nothing worked
3. Flex neck is not flexible and blocks my access to switches on car (this may not be the problem with some car models depending on placement of electrical socket)
Only use that I am making of it is as a charger, this is the only feature that works.
Have already spent lot of time with customer support and did not wanted to take the trouble of returning item again
if you have a audio jack in your car i recommend use that to connect to iphone with a simple cable and buy a car charger which may be 40 times cheaper than this item
| 2010-07-22 Flexpod is fantastic the Flexpod Car Mount has worked out great so far. I've only had it a short time but I really like how easy it is to use. the flexibility and answering phone calls are my two favorite attributes | 2010-07-05 Don't spend your money The reviews I had read on this made me think that this fm transmitter might actually work. The problem with - I think all - fm transmitters is that, when traveling you're always running into a near fm station that interferes with yours. The two other issues I had with this unit is that 1) The flexible neck on the unit would not stay up where I wanted the iphone positioned. It might work better in a town where all roads are very smooth and in a smooth riding vehicle. Mine's a 3/4 truck and the phone just works its way down as I drive along. The 2nd issue is that it's all about sound quality or you don't want it. My radio always produce static along with the music. I believe this might be an inherent property with any of this type transmitter. | 2010-06-29 Flexpod Rocks "Well designed product and functions as described. Longer drives might require switching stations to eliminate static when another station signal bleeds into the selected channel used by the Flexpod to transmit the Droid/Pandora signal...but this happens with this type of system. I would recommend this product." |
