EXCELLENT price for a GREAT cable, and it works!
The item is exactly as described and worked great with my 6th Gen 120GB iPod Classic. I took back the $40 cable that I bought previously after getting this one. I especially appreciated the fact that the end of the cable has the "hooks" that hold it securely to the iPod as the $40 cable did not and kept pulling out. This cable even works with my InCase brand iPod case so that I don't have to remove my case in order to use the cable. You do have to change the settings on the iPod to send the video out, but once that's done, it's literally plug and play. At this price, I'm buying another so that I can have one in each vehicle. My only beef is that they don't sell it in black!

Arrived quickly, works great
Arrived just in time for a party. Primarily bought it because we were getting echoes using the headphone jack to drive a stereo. Very pleased with the music quality through the stereo with this cord. Just for fun, we have played videos through the tv. As mentioned in many other reviews, you have to turn the video output on and set to NTSC using the video options menu.

You get what you pay for....
I had a feeling this could be too good to be true, $6.00 for a component that is $49 and up through most places. I love the idea of playing video on my tv from my iPod....unfortunately this device didn't do the trick, it wouldn't work on my iPod touch and would only work on my classic ipod, but it has no way of charging so the battery on the iPod doesn't even last long enough to really watch a full movie. I knew there was a good chance I wouldn't get much use out of this component but for $6.00 I was willing to try. I had to go out and buy the $50.00 one after all.

LOVE IT!
At first I couldnt get it to work... but it was the iPod not the av cable. For those of you who have tried it and cant get it to work try opening the video on your ipod when it asks if you want the tv output choose yes then after that connect your iPod to the to the cable (cable should already be connected to tv)! I just loved that I paid so little and it works so well!

Works with iPod but does NOT work as advertised with iPhone
Will work with your iPod---I have an 80GB older iPod it works fine with, and audio of course works with about any i-product, but this DOES NOT work with iPhone either with video or just for displaying pictures on your television or any other device with RCA inputs. (And trust me, I do know how to operate my iPod 80Gb and my iPhone very well. :-)

 Chinese fakes
Now there are Chinese iPod fakes at the market. They are very similar to real iPods and only a person who has the company’s iPod can distinguish that fake. The most probable case to buy the imitation is to do that at various radio markets or at places where salespeople palm off.
Advantages and disadvantages
A very low price at the market (lower than the advisable Apple retail price on 40-60%). Similar to iPod.

These questions are decided very quickly by phone.
Ipod really has the world warranty. It means that if you have bought your walkman in the USA you can easily repair it in Germany. But you should obligatory save the counterfoil to prove your purchase.
Summary
1. It is not recommended to buy the walkman at the market or in the company that has no office..
2. Taking into account that iPods break very often (more than 0,1% of waste) you can save a little buying your walkman abroad but you should OBLIGATORY specify the warranty repair availability at your shop assistant. |
